Of outstanding quality and elegance of design, this magnificent blue dial reference 5372P-001 ‘Grand Complication’ is among the pinnacles of Patek Philippe’s contemporary production. It includes two of the most important complications in watchmaking – the ‘monopusher’ or ‘single button’ split-seconds chronograph and the perpetual calendar. Launched at Baselworld 2017, reference 5372P excitingly, for the first time in a Patek Philippe watch features the single button split-seconds chronograph complication used in conjunction with multiple other complications. The present watch is presented in mint, virtually new condition and is accompanied by the full set of accessories including an additional solid platinum caseback.
To date, reference 5372 is only manufactured in platinum with a choice of either a blue or salmon coloured dial. The case is the classic and timeless style that emphasizes the blue sunburst dial and its displays for the perpetual calendar with apertures for the days of the week and months, and small circular apertures for the leap-year and day/night indications. Two subsidiary dials for the running seconds and 60-minute chronograph register are placed at 3 and 9 o’clock, a further dial for the date is positioned at 6 o’clock. The moon phase aperture is placed at 12 o’clock. Powered by the technically brilliant caliber CHR 27-525 PS Q manually-wound movement which bears the ‘PP’ Seal of excellence.
Further enhancing the present watch’s appeal is its sheer rarity, only a handful are known publicly. For the collector of high complication watches, there is no better opportunity than the present reference 5372P to own a truly important and complicated contemporary wristwatch from Patek Philippe.
