of tapering circular form, on a flaring foot and with a leaf-capped rising curved spout, polished wood double scroll handle and unmarked domed hinged cover with compressed baluster finial, one side engraved with a crest within a lozenge-shaped cartouche surrounded by scalework and scrolling foliage, the other side later-engraved with a crest, Thomas Tearle, London probably 1735 - 8in. (20.25cm.), 23.75oz. gross.
