A George IV and Victorian composite cruet
in the 18th Century taste, of waisted oblong form and on shell and scroll feet, the front with an applied cast rococo cartouche engraved with a crest, the back with a leaf-capped double scroll handle, fitted with two shaped square cut glass oil and vinegar bottles with leaf-capped double scroll handles and hinged covers with shell thumb pieces, the top of the cruet with an openwork frame containing a shaped square pepperette engraved with the same crest and with pointed finial, the two bottles Edward Farrell, London 1829, the cruet maker's initials I.W., London 1838, the pepperette Chester 1896 - 7½in.
