Lot Essay

Highly uncommon carved granite grave marker of well-dressed young man seated alongside of a baseball bat and stitched baseball. Large brimmed hat is positioned on the ground with opened book having initials, "P.B. to K.B." likely directed from family member to the deceased. Remarkable original state of preserved condition free of any notable damage especially given fragility.
