An unusual brass five minute repeating carriage clock
the cannalée case with white enamel Roman chapter disc with Arabic five minutes (hairline crack), within engine-turned gilt mask, blued moon hands, with bimetallic balance to silvered lever platform, the strike on two gongs with the following sequence: hours as normal ending with a ting-tang on the last hour; the half hour with a single ting-tang; repeat buttons at the front right for hours and on the left for ting-tang five minute repeat (engraved Hours and Minutes respectively, dumb button repeat to the rear (engraved Dumb Striking -- 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high
