the hood with flowerhead carved caps to the swan neck pediment with dentil carving below, above floral decorated verre eglomisé panels, outset fluted columns, with three quarter Corinthian pilasters flanking the arched trunk door, above simulated brickwork angles, with conforming decoration to the chamfered sides of the plinth on bracket feet, the brass dial with silvered plaque in the arch signed H. WARE HULL, silvered chapter ring and matted centre, gilt-brass foliate and mask spandrels, the twin train quarter striking movement with anchor escapement, early 20th century -- 51in. (130cm.) high
