Related to two of three panels of stained glass depicting the life of St Cecilia in a window in the North Choir aisle of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, dated to 1874-5. Stephen Wildman has suggested that the unusual squaring of these drawings may either relate to Burne-Jones's large workload as the only figure designer to Morris & Company in 1875, leaving him dependent on studio assistants to turn designs into workshop cartoons, or to the one recorded re-use of the designs, for a domestic commission in 1883.
