This drawing appears to be an early sketch for Sirani’s monumental Feast in the House of Simon the Pharisee from 1652, a painting in the church of San Gerolamo della Certosa in Bologna (fig. 1; see E. Negro et M. Pirondini, La Scuola di Guido Reni, Modena 1992, pp. 367, 369, fig. 360).
