A PAIR OF LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE AND JAPANESE PORCELAIN POTPOURRIS
THE PORCELAIN 17TH/18TH CENTURY, THE CHINESE PORCELAIN LIONS KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722) AND PROBABLY ASSOCIATED, THE JAPANESE PORCELAIN POT-POURRI EDO PERIOD (CIRCA LATE 17TH CENTURY), THE MOUNTS CIRCA 1740
Each modelled as a growling lion beside a tree holding aloft a pot-pourri, all raised on serpentine ormolu mounts, the lower section of the tree trunks later added
