The stamp on the verso of this photograph has been identified as M27 in Steven Manford’s book, Behind the photo: the stamps of Man Ray (2009). According to Manford, this stamp is “the primary ORIGINAL stamp fabricated in the early thirties […] (it) is found on select photographs and Rayographs” (pp. 29-30).
