Mounted overall with hunting motifs and scrolling foliage, surmounted by a huntsman blowing a horn above two hounds and a stag, the balloon-shaped case with a glazed door mounted with a huntsman and dog attacking a boar, flanked by two further dogs, stamped F. GOYER JME, the bracket mounted with hunting trophies to the corners and centred by a boar mask, the horn decorated to the reverse with flowers, the gilt dial with Roman and Arabic enamel chapters and central enamel plaque inscribed CAUSARD / A PARIS, the twin barrel movement with anchor escapement and countwheel strike to later gong mounted above the case, the square plates joined by five pillars, the backplate signed Causard a Paris
