QIANLONG (1736-1795)
The arched case surmounted by a carrying-handle and baluster finials, above an arched, engraved gilt-metal dial plate, on a moulded plinth and bracket feet, with gilt-brass floral pierced roundels and glazed sides, the backplate with a 'nonsense' signature, the silvered dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, the twin barrel movement joined by four pillars with verge escapement and hour bell and quarter bell
