A PAIR OF LATE LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED WHITE MARBLE BRULE-PARFUMS LATE 18TH CENTURY Each with removable cover pierced with stars, the dish with rope-twist and beaded borders, with an artichoke finial, on a tripod feet headed by ram's heads and terminating in hoof feet, joined by a circular stretcher, on tripartite base centred by a foliate boss, on a moulded plinth and bun feet 12 ½ in. (32 cm.) high; 9 in. (23 cm.) wide
A related pair of brûle-parfums of apparently identical form but with pinecone finials to the centre of the base was sold palais Galliera, Paris, 27 March 1971 lot 52.
