Hollstein records only two impressions in public collections of the first state, before any lettering (London and Vienna), and seven of the present second state (Amsterdam, Berlin, Brunswick, Dresden, Leiden, London and Vienna). The third state is already posthumous and bears the address of Danckerts.
The painting by Bartholomeus Spranger, which served as the model for this large engraving, is at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (inv. no. 2435).
