A rare Jacobite fan, the leaf painted with Prince Charles Edward, The Young Pretender dressed in tartan, standing beside Thistles for Scotland, with the English lion prowling in the woods beyond, the verso with a spray of thistles and white roses, the Jacobite emblem, the ivory sticks speckled red to resemble marble - 10in. (26cm.), circa 1745 (slight wear and repairs, framgent of mother of pearl missing from rear guardstick filet)
