The present Datejust is distinguished by its attractive and intact onxy dial with gilt printing. It is furthermore preserved in very good overall condition.
While Rolex offered a range of Datejust models with stone dials, including lapis lazuli, marble, various hardstones, opal, coral and malachite, the black onyx dial is perhaps the most recognizable for its unadorned starkness.
