The interior of the bowl divided into quarters, each decorated with three round motifs against a dotted lustre ground, the rim with repeating hemispherical pattern in red and brown, the exterior with five large roundels filled with small dashes against a ground of lustre dashes, repaired breaks

A polychrome lustre bowl with similar wheel motif decoration is in the Tareq Rajab Museum, Kuwait (CER46TSR; published Geza Fehervari, Ceramics of the Islamic world in the Tareq Rajab Museum, London, 2000, p.44, no.30). Another is in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London (acc.no. C.46-1952).
