A sampler by Ellener Tovey, 1828, worked in coloured silks in shades of green and brown, with a verse "For every trifle scorn..." above a brick house with a lawn, flanked by climbing flowers and urns, within a stylised floral border--16.5 x 20.5in. (42 x 52cm.), framed and glazed
