Lot Essay

Robert and Marjorie Hirschhorn were passionate American Folk Art collectors and acquired the preeminent collection of American marquetry. Their collection was exhibited at the American Folk Art Museum (AFAM), where Robert also served as a member of the Board of Trustees.
