THE GLASS SOUTH GERMANY, LATE 17TH CENTURY, THE MOUNTS MARK OF JOHAN LUDWIG I BILLER, AUGSBURG, 1699-1703
The fluted flask of tear-drop form, the silver-gilt shaped band at the mouth linked by tightly woven chains to the oak leaf mount cradling the lower body, the oval foot chased with radiating lobes enclosed within a gadrooned band, foot rim with maker and town marks and assay scrape

A similar fluted flask with chains and applied oak leaves at the shoulder, mark of Albrecht Biller, Augsburg, circa 1700, is in the collection of King Jan III's Palace in Wilanów, Poland (obj. no. Wil.107).
