Lot Essay

Hiroshi Suzuki (b. 1961) was born and raised in Japan where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in silversmithing at Tokyo University, before moving to London to complete his Master of Arts at the Royal College of Art in 1999. Suzuki's works in silver are meant to mirror the imperfections of nature in their fluidity, achieved through his unique hammering methods working from flat sheets of silver.
