Descriptif du lot

J. Frank Waldo was born in Vermont in 1835 and eventually settled in Wisconsin in the 1860s, where he worked as a sign painter while also painting landscapes, such as the present work. Another painting by Waldo depicting a similar view of Lake Winnebago is in the collection of the Oshkosh Museum, Wisconsin.
