of circular form, on openwork floral, foliate and C-scroll feet and with a gadrooned waved rim, spiral-twist stem and scroll and stylised shell handle, the wirework body decorated with a frieze of vines and with a shell and C-scroll cartouche engraved with a crest, fitted with five cut glass condiment bottles, the reeded domed unmarked covers with compressed finials, one with later silver-gilt cayenne pepper spoon attached, the cruet maker's mark indistinct, London 1774, the cayenne pepper spoon London 1834 - height of cruet 6¾in.
