signed on the back-plate BATE . LONDON., the 9in. (23cm.) long body-tube with starfinder (eyepiece missing), screw-rod focusing, speculum mirror, with compass joint on pillar support and folding tripod stand, the tripod arranged so as to detach and fit to the inside of the body-tube cover, with two eyepieces, additional speculum primary mirror in can, and trade label, in maker's fitted mahogany case -- 11¼in. (28.5cm.) wide
