signed EDW.D CLARKE, Sackville Strt DUBLIN, the telescope with bubble-level (eyepiece missing), raised on twin V-supports, with rack and pinion adjustment, the compass box with silvered dial and edge-bar needle with agate cap and clamping arm, the horizontal circle with chamfered scale, raised on a tapering pillar support and four-screw tripod attachment, in fitted mahogany case -- 7½in. (19cm.) wide
