with rack and pinion coarse and micrometer fine focusing, the body tubes located on limb signed Powell & LEALAND 170 Euston Road LONDON, and dated 1895, with prism box, double nose-piece, the body limb adjusted by rack motion, the axis with two tightening plates, with mechanical stage and sprung slide holders, lower silvered circuit stage with finely divided scale divided 0°/180° with additional rack motion, the sub-stage condenser with centring screws on similar rack adjustment, the lower body limb with articulated plano-concave mirror, on cast moulded and machined tripod stand, the plinth feet with cork inserts, with an extensive collection of accessories including five signed eyepieces, monocular body tube ¼ Water Immersion N.A. 1.26, ¼ Apochromatic N.A. 0.95, 1/8 Apochromatic N.A. 0.98, 0 Apochromatic Water Immersion N.A. 1.26, an abbe condenser, live-box, frog plate and other items, in two accessory cases, in mahogany carrying case with two swing handles -- 20½in.
