The studies include the following text; 'Myrmarachne male x 15. Avery close mimic of Camponotus pericens, x 15 which it imitates not only in size and coloration but in style of running, action of "false antennae" (first pair of legs). Specimen figured, and several other specimens of both sexes were captured on bushes in Columbo, Ceylon that were swarming with Camponotus sericens, August 1938. Note false "neck" formed by demi-collar of white pubesence.
