CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, ÉPOQUE JIAQING (1796-1820)

The present roundel, featuring two entwined chilong, may have been intended for a prince second in line to the throne. As so-called "Grandson of the Emperor" badges are believed to have been produced only in the later Qing dynasty, this example may date to the reign of the Daoguang emperor.
