The vendor met the Beatles on October 6th, 1963, when as a result of winning a competition run by the Daily Express newspaper she was given a front row seat and an opportunity to go backstage after the Beatles concert in her home town Kirkcaldy, where the Beatles played at the Carlton Theatre.
