Lot Essay

The vase is covered with a celadon glaze, the mouth and foot rims are covered with a black wash, to imitate the characteristic of Song dynasty Guan wares. Compare to a similar vase (9.5 cm. high), illustrated in Jingdezhen chutu mingdai yuyao ciqi,Beijing, 2009, no. 98.
