A grand piano by C.Bechstein, Serial No. 82000, circa 1906 in a crossbanded mahogany case with satinwood and ebonized line inlay, the sides with oval walnut panels, on square tapering supports -- 79in. (200.7cm.) long ; accompanied by an autograph postcard, signed, from George Martin stating ..This Bechstein Grand Piano has been my main instrument during my working life, and used every time I wrote a score for the likes of José Carreras and Paul McCartney or Elton John. My only reason for disposing of this piano is my acquisition of the model B Bosendorfer from the now defunct AIR studios, Montserrat, George Martin.. (2)
