A Coalport dark blue ground twin-handled goblet
painted by Frederick Sutton with a quarter length portrait, probably Ariadne, signed, within raised two tone gilt oval panel issuing fronds on a cracked ice pattern band, the reverse with trophies in a smaller panel, with richly gilt pierced leaf handles, the lower section moulded with scrolling leaves between paterae, on knopped stem and domed foot, green crown mark -- 27.5cm. high, circa 1895 (some staining and a very minor hairline crack to foot)
