Further details
Wu Weijia, master of Yizhai studio, was born into a prominent family in Macau and was the proprietor of Tai Hing Bank in Macau. A discerning collector, Wu was an early member of Hong Kong’s esteemed Min Chiu Society. He had a particular fondness for works of the Lingnan School and shared a close friendship with Deng Fen. His collection of Deng’s works comprised the finest examples, some of which were offered at various Christie’s auctions with outstanding results.
