painted with loose sprays of flowers among scattered sprigs, the pierced covers with further sprigs, the finials formed as branches and flowers, each applied with gilt Frauenkopf handles with white rose garlands, the lower sections moulded and gilt with arches and flowerheads with knop terminal, supported by three feet, blue crossed swords mark -- 27cm. high, late 19th century (damages and restoration) See illustration (2)
