Lot Essay

The reference 7130 World Time wristwatch indicates all 24 time zones in conjunction with a 24-hour day / night indication on a blue dial with hand-guilloché centre. The automatic caliber 240 HU movement bearing the ‘PP’ seal has a Gyromax balance and 22k gold micro-rotor. It can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.

First launched in the 1930s and patented in 1959, Patek Philippe’s World Time watches enjoy cult status among travellers and collectors. The two rotating disks show the time simultaneously in all 24 time zones. With patented single pusher adjustment mechanism, it is possible to correct all the displays with the single push of one button, without affecting the rate of the watch movement.
