A PAIR OF LOUIS XV GILTWOOD BERGERES
MID-18TH CENTURY
Each with a rounded backrest, carved at the cresting, shaped seat rail and above the cabriole legs with roses and trailing leaves, the backs with incised decoration, covered in cream embossed velvet, the undersides stamped 'BOUCAULT', possibly spuriously, and with old red-painted Carnegie Museum accession numbers '70.32.53' and '70.32.54'
