Lot Essay

Lennon's Aunt Mater was his mother Julia's sister, and lived in Scotland with her husband, Bert. During this family trip in June 1969, Lennon drove his Mini around Liverpool and up to Scotland to visit relatives and show Ono his childhood roots. Accompanying them on the trip was Julian Lennon and Yoko Ono's daughter, Kyoko.

Christie's would like to thank noted Beatles autograph and handwriting expert Frank Caiazzo for his assistance in authenticating this lot.
