MUROMACHI PERIOD (15TH CENTURY), DATED 19TH OF FIFTH MONTH IN 1449 (BUN'AN ROKUNEN)
The straight cylinder body hollowed, decorated in painted flowers and scrolling stem, with remnants of red, green and white pigments, on the interior one side with illegible signature and dating on the other side; with a metal liner to use as flower vase
11 ½ in. (29.2 cm.) high, 6 1⁄8 in. (15.6 cm.) diam.
