In 1952, during the artist’s visit to Southeast Asia, Zhao held touring exhibitions in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Penang, which were highly popular among the local populace and achieved great success. Mr. Qiu specifically commission several pieces of calligraphy and paintings from the artist. This piece was created by the artist at the end of 1952 during his stay in Ipoh.
