The RM 030 EMEA Limited Edition was made in a highly exclusive limited edition of 100 pieces created for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa regions. It is immediately recognisable by its striking blue ceramic case with white quartz TPT caseband. In common with all Richard Mille timepieces the RM 030 is technically innovative, the Calibre RMAR1 skeletonized automatic movement features Richard Mille’s patented declutchable rotor that prevents over-winding. The present watch is accompanied by the original Certificate and full set of accessories.
The patented declutchable rotor is a simple and ingenious solution created in order to eliminate the problem of overwinding. The winding barrel disconnects from the rotor’s winding mechanism at the moment when the spring is fully wound. When the power reserve reaches 50 hours, the rotor is declutched. When it decreases to 40 hours, the rotor will clutch and the watch starts winding again. At 12 o’clock on the dial you can check whether the rotor is winding or not with the ‘on’ and ‘off’ indicators. An indicator at 9 o’clock shows the remaining power reserve.
The blue ceramic case of this limited edition timepiece is lightweight yet extremely strong and almost completely scratch-resistant. Incredibly, each case requires more than 255 tooling operations and takes around 30 hours craftsmanship to manufacture.
