The present reference 3729⁄1 is among the maison’s rarest and most distinctive creations, embodying both bold design and refined mechanical craftsmanship. Introduced in 1976 and produced until approximately 1990, the model was offered in two versions: reference 3729 with a leather strap and reference 3729⁄1 with an integrated bracelet, such as the present example. Its triple-stepped case, defined by a striking geometric architecture, frames a truly exceptional dial. Crafted from natural materials, it combines the deep, rich tones of blue agate with the soft luminosity of white mother-of-pearl, creating a harmonious composition evocative of the transition between night and day.
At the heart of the timepiece is the manually wound calibre 215, an ultra-thin movement celebrated for its reliability and widely regarded as one of Patek Philippe’s most enduring and iconic calibres of the period.
Further enhancing its appeal, the watch is accompanied by a matching pair of cufflinks and a ring, each featuring the same blue agate and mother-of-pearl setting, forming an elegant and cohesive ensemble.
