The Aquanaut was a game-changer for Patek Philippe, with a novel concept and a clear target audience of younger, more daring customers. It was the first model from the Geneva maison to have a 'tropical' rubber strap when it was introduced in the late 1990s, making it a true pioneer of what would later be called sports-luxe.
