Lot Essay

Fresh to market and from the family of the original owner, the present Patek Philippe reference 765, manufactured in 18k pink gold, is— to the best of our knowledge—only the third example to have surfaced publicly. Furthermore, the watch is paired with its original presentation box and is confirmed by the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives.

The Reference 765
Produced between the 1950s and 1960s, the reference 765 pocket watch is an elegant, striking, and refined timepiece, distinguished by its highly attractive geometric guilloché dial—a motif artfully echoed on the solid gold caseback, creating a harmonious and architectural design language. The case, crafted by the esteemed manufacturer George Croisier and identifiable by Geneva Key 5, is further enhanced by finely stepped bezels to both the front and rear, lending depth and sophistication to its profile. The dial features Patek Philippe’s famed hard enamel inscriptions, while the stylized hour markers recall the celebrated first-series “geometry” dials of the Calatrava reference 2508. Combining rarity, provenance, and remarkable design cohesion, the present reference 765 stands as an exceptional example of the reference.
