Lot Essay

AN ATTRACTIVE COPY of the quarto edition of Barbaro's Italian translation of Vitruvius, with a reduced copy of the title-page border of the Marcolini edition, Venice, 1556 [Fowler 407]. The plates are for the most part the same as those in the Latin edition of 1567 [Fowler 409].
