Lot Essay

The Rolex Day-Date II
Launched in 2008, the Rolex Day-Date II was the largest model from the flagship family ever manufactured. Featuring a 41 mm. case, the watch has broad and stately proportions, most noticeable at the bezel, giving it presence on the wrist. The present watch features an uncommon and rare combination with an 18k white gold case, diamond-set bezel, and 'blue waves' dial with applied white gold Arabic numerals.

The Rolex Day-Date
The Day-Date, Rolex’s first timepiece to display a separate day and date feature was launched in 1956 and is one of the firm’s most iconic models. Throughout its production, it was available in a plethora of metals, dial colors, as well as some rare examples being adorned with precious stones, lacquering, and hardstone dials.
