[NATURAL PHILOSOPHY] A manuscript notebook in Latin, headed "Physicarum generalium cursus," 8°, dated 1693 on opening page and 18 August 1693 on colophon, 270pp. with additional notes at end, consisting of lecture notes by two students on a course in Cartesian science given by Professor William Seaton at Marischal College [Aberdeen], examining terminology, philosophy, and definitions of mathematics, under sectional headings which include the properties of materials, laws of motion, reflection and refraction, vacuums, etc., with some pen-and-ink diagrams, first page with ownership inscriptions of Thomas [?] Hony and John Sime, old pasteboards (detached), later inscription of M. Morrison 1816 at end.
