Descriptif du lot

The success of the present composition is evidenced by the survival of multiple variants featuring similar arrangements of birds and fruit set against a comparable parkland background; these include a signed example in Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest (inv. no. 3821), dated to circa 1710, and another sold in these Rooms on 9 July 2021, lot 148 (£52,500).
