Second edition of the Rimas, with the addition of 26 sonnets, 4 odes and one elegy. Camoes’s lyric poetry stands in the tradition Petrarch, while the odes reflect troubadour, chivalric poetry. Quarto (183 x 125mm), decorative woodcut title page (final blank in the cc quire is missing; some staining, browning, and spotting; small repairs throughout, occasionally effecting text). Modern black morocco with gilt, gilt edges, indecipherable stamp on top edge. Provenance: João Marinho (bookplate).
