made for the Turkish market, of waisted form with stepped domed cover, entwined stalk handle and flower finial, painted with loose sprays of flowers below a shaped puce scale section edged with gilt scrolling foliage, blue crossed swords and star mark -- 16.2cm. high, late 18th/19th century (minute chips to finial and slight wear to gilt) See illustration
