Portrait (Possibly Katja Krassin), c. 1930-32

This exquisite – and rare – signed, mounted and vintage portrait by Lee Miller appears to capture Katja Krassin, the second daughter of Leonid Krassin, the first Soviet Ambassador to London and Paris. Katja Krassin was educated at Cambridge University and worked as a dress designer and theatrical costumier in London during the 1930s and 1940s. Portraits of her were also captured by Man Ray and Francis Goodman.

At the time of this writing, this is the only known print of this image.
